Early last month Gary gave a review on MarketingSherpa’s Landing Page Handbook. For those that didn’t go ahead and buy a copy since you weren’t convinced of the usefulness I would suggest that you visit their website because you’ll find it to be a very good resource. The MarketingSherpa website allows even non-members access to great articles that are viewable for seven (7) days.
Last May 1 the article “How to Optimize Landing Pages to Maximize Holiday Traffic Conversions” was opened to the public. I wouldn’t be delving much into the article but will simply give the five steps that were outlined that should help you optimise your holiday landing page.
The five steps are:
Step 1: Study past traffic
Step 2: Start with a strong landing page
Step 3: Select the elements to test - includes main image, colour of call-to-action button, footer text, other text on the toolbar, title text at the top of the page
Step 4: Run the test and pick a winner
Step 5: Save everything for next year
To learn more just click on the image below. And don’t forget to join their weekly free book giveaway contests. One of the few online contests open to everybody. In fact they pick winners from everywhere all over the world from Philippines to Ghana. So if you like freebies just as much as I do you’d better head over there now. ^_^

At the height of the Internet bubble the popular misconception was that everything could be […]

Unlike natural search engine optimisation paid online marketing […]
