Great post, adding your best content as regular pages within your site rather than blog posts that get archived can be extremely beneficial but at the end of the day it all comes down to how good that piece of content is and how many people link to it. Even if it is a blog post, if it is an excellent piece of copy with loads of great inlinks it will rank.
