Keywords in commentors names

published by Gary in Blogging | General with 3 Comments

Some people purely looking for link juice leave comments with key words and phrases in their names. One common theme of people using this tactic is the poor quality of comment that more often than not adds little or nothing to the thread.

I want people to be able to enjoy and increase their knowledge by reading the content on Phoenixrealm and not having to wade their way through pointless comments.

For this reason, comments with keywords in the authors name will be deleted.

I think that this is quite fair for the blog community.

I used to comment because I wanted to comment. Keyword in the username just seemed like a logical thing to do. I don’t really mind to be honest. I usually remove low quality comments on my blog no matter what name commentators have.

I agree. It is fair enough for those commentator who wanted a link juice to at least exert efforts in writing comment post.
