There is a scary article over at Search Engine Journal. Apparently blogger Dean is being threatened with legal action by a store owner who is upset that Dean’s blog outranks his store for a specific keyword. The store owner is demanding that Dean lowers his position for this keyword as he feels it is only right that a commercial store should out rank a blog.
It will be interesting to see what happens if this does reach a court, and what legal arguements are raised – in the mean time be careful about what you rank for
