Whilst it great to have lot’s of new users sign up on a daily basis, I have been getting irritated by up to 50 emails a day telling me that a new user has registered.
Having spent some time looking through WordPress settings and not finding a way to switch this off, I started Googling.
Came across this plugin:

You can always have an option to turn this on and turn off depending on your preference.
